Result: Franklin Bulls (67) are defeated by Mills Albert Wellington Saints (81)
The last time these two teams met, the Saints would put up the most points of the 2026 season in an extremely dominant win. This match would begin in a similar manner. Despite lacking Elijah Pepper and the scoring that came with that, strong defence from the Saints and some foul trouble for the Bulls meant only 10 first quarter points by the home side. The 21 for the visitors would create a healthy gap into the 2nd quarter. The Bulls would find their scoring in the second as Derrin Boyd began heating up. The import guard would finish with 23 points as the Saints would carry the lead through to the very last minute. At times, the Bulls took bites out of the lead, but nothing substantial would come.

A thunderous dunk from Aubrey Chunga would open what would be a tight match between two teams on opposing sides of standings. The Saints would start off shooting well, with an initial 60% FG%, but the Bulls would make some big 3's to finish the first quarter 11-11. From here, both sides would trade buckets at a very similar rate. The second quarter would end 8-8, and the third 7-7. With a 4th quarter lead of 12-10, the Saints would need to come up with one defensive stop to solidify their win, but Zion Anderson would drive to the basket and be given the shooting foul. After being 1 from 4 from the free throw line throughout the evening, Zion Anderson would have the opportunity to come up with 2 clutch free throws to send the game to overtime. He'd seize the opportunity and add an extra minute of playtime for the Bulls to try and steal a win away. Here Payton Hughes would come up with a massive 3 to give the home side a 3 point lead with 4.5 seconds left. The Saints wouldn't be able to convert and would take the loss.
