The Franklin Bulls are excited to announce a new partner to the Bulls family, Petronas.

The international brand's New Zealand arm has sided with the Bulls' development programs, citing the impact the grassroots Bulls development program is having on the game!

Petronas New Zealand is quickly becoming a market leader in the way they are connecting with grassroots organizations, and they have identified the Bulls as a key partner for the long term. The partnership will see them as naming rights of the Rapid League Bulls team, which has been a central pillar of the Bulls' growth over the past 2 years.

"Our development program feeds our NBL team. This program includes our academies and the Franklin Basketball representative pathways. Key partnerships make the development of our players, coaches, and the game itself in our area grow, and Petronas coming on board for the NBL season 2026 will give this program a huge boost!" says General Manager Jamie Reddish.

"From a partnership perspective, having Petronas back us illustrates the value of what we are doing in the grassroots. Their support will enhance this work. We just hope their involvement will help other partners see the impact of the Bulls in Franklin and jump on board this season," says Bulls Co-Founder Scott Kelso.

The Petronas Rapid League Bulls will kick off their campaign in March and will feature a local group of talented Franklin players, including U17 Junior Tall Blacks, Harry Kelso, Zeek Otunuku, and Hunter Savill.

"Petronas NZ is proud to support the Rapid League Bulls in their quest for glory in 2026! Petronas is passionate about progress, hence our commitment to support great organizations like the Bulls from the grassroots and up! We are looking forward to the ride and being part of this exciting journey," says Pat Hickmott, General Manager.

Petronas has signed through to the end of 2026 and will feature on the new Rapid League uniform to be unveiled in the coming weeks. This uniform will celebrate sport in the region and will be available for fans to purchase.
