The Franklin Bulls would like to announce the re-signing of local stalwart and guard Corey Perry for his 6th season with the club in the 2026 Sal’s NZNBL.

A true franchise player and one of the original development squad members since the Bulls’ inception in 2020, Perry has been a constant presence through the team’s journey. The 23 year old first suited up as a development player in the inaugural 2020 SalsNBL Showdown and has remained a dedicated squad member.

“Corey is one of those guys who just gets it. He invests everything into this program — on the court, in the community, and with our younger players. Having him back for a 6th season is huge for our culture and our depth and is extra special for me having coached him throughout his career. Corey will give everything and excited for him to take this next step." Says GM Jamie Reddish.

Perry has carved out a unique role as a developmental and depth player who consistently steps up when called upon. In the 2024 Rapid League, Perry played a far more significant role, averaging 10.2 minutes per game.

He has also been instrumental in Franklin Basketball’s grassroots pathway, playing locally since a young age. Corey has played and coached at National Competitions and has been a backbone of the local cohort. Perry continues to mentor and pave the way for younger talent while balancing his own playing commitments.

“Corey exemplifies everything our club is about as a local, loyal, and committed player. He is a leader for our group on and off the floor-we are excited to welcome him back to the Bulls. “Says HeadCoach, Dan Ryan.

You can watch Corey and his Bulls teammate live at the Stockyard from April 16.
