The Franklin Bulls are excited to announce the signing of Auckland guard Jaylen Gerrand for the 2026 Sal's NBL season. The guard brings scoring punch, floor spacing, and veteran experience to the Bulls' roster.
Gerrand, entering his sixth NBL season, enjoyed a standout 2025 campaign. He delivered a strong showing with the Indian Panthers, averaging nearly 20 points per game in eight appearances, before joining the Taranaki Airs for the latter part of the season. He is familiar with the Franklin Bulls organisation, having originally been set to join the team before COVID-19 disruptions and then signed in 2021, under then Head Coach Jamie Reddish.
“We were surprised Jay was still available after a massive year for him last season. He’s playing some of his best basketball and we know he’ll compliment our roster nicely. Says GM Jamie Reddish.
Gerrand adds depth and shooting to a Franklin Bulls squad. His versatility and experience make him a strong addition as the team embraces a fresh era under Coach Ryan.
“Jaylen brings years of NBL experience to our roster. He can play either guard spot and is a high level shot maker. His leadership and poise have already positively impacted our group. We are excited to have Jay in Pukekohe!
The Franklin Bulls will open their 2026 Sal's NBL campaign Saturday night vs the Tuatara. The first home game at the Franklin Pool and Leisure Centre (The Stockyard) in Pukekohe, is next Thursday 16th of April.
