EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls Announce 2022 Support Staff

The EnviroNZ Bulls continue to make moves ahead of the SalsNBL free-agency, with the announcement of the support staff who will work with the Bulls in 2022.

Logan Botica joins the EnviroNZ Franklin Bulls as Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2022 Sal’s NBL season. 2022 also sees the return of physio, Sarah Stratton and Team Chaplain, Cliff Thompson.

Sarah Stratton of Pukekohe Physiotherapy returns for her third season with the Bulls, having started with the team during the 2020 showdown and enjoyed a busy "First Ever" home season this year. Stratton works along side other top physios from Pukekohe Physiotherapy who support her and the Bulls players throughout the season.

Chaplain Cliff Thompson is back with the team again for his third season. Cliff also joined the team prior to the 2020 Showdown and will support the team as part of the leadership group in 2022. Cliff will continue to support the team and provide support to the players as well as working with the Render Creative team, supporting the Bulls with stunning creative content, images and video.

The Bulls have also appointed a new addition to the team. Strength and Conditioning Coach, Logan Botica for his first season with the Bulls. Adding Botica illustrates the commitment to players and development, with Botica recognised as one of the best basketball S&C coaches in the country. Over the last two seasons Botica has worked with the Auckland Huskies, he also does some work with Basketball New Zealand and the National Team program.

“A very large number of kiwi basketball players come to Logan already for good reason. We certainly believe Logan is the best strength coach in this sport in New Zealand,” says Maskell.

The EnviroNZ Bulls are yet to appoint a team manager, but the coaching team is now complete in preparation for the opening of the 2022 season free agency period.

“It’s exciting to have an entire coaching and support staff announced at this stage of the 2022 season. I want to imprint my personality here at the Bulls, I want us to be highly professional and highly organised in how we operate,” says Coach Maskell.

“We know we have good people in adding Sarah, Cliff and Logan and I am stoked to have the chance to work with them this season,” adds Maskell.

“As always, we have an emphasis on providing a supportive, professional program for our players to develop and grow. Head Coach Morgan Maskell is driving the team to be "Elite" in all we do and we are excited to have Sarah and Cliff back with us again and adding Logan is only going to make us stronger.” Adds General Manager, Scott Kelso
