After two losses, the Bull have finished the latest stretch of 3 games 2-1 with the two wins kicking off with a win at home and away!

Strong response highlights team growth

The Bulls opened the stretch with a thrilling 103–99 win over the Canterbury Rams, showcasing their offensive depth and ability to execute under pressure in a high-scoring contest.

Their only setback came in a narrow 91–90 loss to the Taranaki Airs, a game that went down to the wire and highlighted the fine margins and competitiveness of SalsNBL 2026.

Franklin responded emphatically, producing one of their most complete performances of the season in a 103–88 win over the Tauranga Whai—a result that reinforced the team’s ability to bounce back and deliver on both ends of the floor.

Next Three Games: Three games in 6 days

With momentum building, the Bulls now turn their attention to a challenging three-game run against the Nelson Giants, Wellington Saints, and Manawatu Jets—a 6 game stretch that will test the team, management and the work behind the scenes of the Physio, Strength and Conditioning coach and the massage therapist!

Nelson Giants

The matchup with the Giants looms as a classic tempo battle. Nelson traditionally thrives on physicality and half-court execution, which will test the Bulls’ ability to maintain their fast-paced offensive style. If Franklin can control the boards and push in transition, they’ll have the edge—but they’ll need discipline defensively to limit second-chance opportunities. Expect a tight contest where composure late could be the difference.

Wellington Saints

Taking on the Saints presents one of the toughest challenges in the league. Known for their structure, depth, and championship pedigree, Wellington will demand near-perfect execution from the Bulls. Franklin’s scoring ability keeps them in any game, but this clash will likely come down to defensive intensity and decision-making under pressure. A strong showing here would be a significant statement of intent.

Manawatu Jets

The Jets game shapes as an opportunity for the Bulls to capitalise if they carry momentum into the fixture. Manawatu’s athleticism and willingness to run can create an open, high-scoring affair—something that suits Franklin’s style. However, consistency will be key; if the Bulls bring the same energy seen in their recent wins, they’ll put themselves in a strong position to close out the stretch on a high note.

Across the last two weeks, the Bulls have gone 2–1 while showing clear signs of growth on both ends of the floor. Their offensive firepower is clicking, and their resilience has been evident in the way they’ve responded to adversity.

With a demanding three-game stretch ahead, the Franklin Bulls now have a chance to turn promise into proof—and establish themselves as genuine contenders in the 2026 Sal’s NBL season.
