Three Bulls DPs have been selected in the U17 Junior Tall Blacks to compete at the Oceania Cup in Samoa this coming December. Harry Kelso and Zeek Otunuku were selected in the traveling 12, and Hunter Savill was added as a reserve team member.
All the boys have been part of the Bulls development program over the past two to three years under the coaching of former Bulls and World Cup winning German Head Coach Sebastian Gleim.
Harry and Zeek also played for the Franklin U16s and U18s, and this year played up in the U20s. Hunter competed this year and was a key contributor to his Waikato U18s, narrowly missing out on a grand final appearance at U18 Nationals.
All the boys have been on the New Zealand radar for a while, having all been part of NZ trials over the past few years. They were all heavily involved in the 2025 Bulls NBL season and look to continue their development under a new head coach in 2026.
The Franklin Bulls would like to congratulate the boys on their work this year. Hard work pays off.
