Injury Plagues Bulls

The young guns and veterans will need to step up as the EnviroNZ Bulls starters struggle with injury.

With the announcement that Josh Selby will return home due to injury, the EnviroNZ Bulls have been dealt another blow with star forward, Zane Waterman ruled out for tonight's clash against the Hawks.

Waterman, like Selby, had been in stunning form until a dunk against the Otago Nuggets in the first half. Waterman, however still played the entire game, scoring 21 points.

"We are gutted for both Josh and Zane. These guys have been in stunning form and now we find ourselves without them." Head Coach Jamie Reddish.

It doesn't stop there, Kiwi big man Matt Freeman has also been ruled out tonight and this weekend as he continues to rehab a knee injury and Dane Brooks will be out for for tonight's clash, with a concussion he suffered in training.

The Bulls now rely on the extended roster, who are committed to holding home court.

"Our guys are pumped for the challenge and are committed. The Hawks will be tough, but we know our guys have it in them battle through. Injury is just something we have to deal with and we are hoping that over the next few games we can prove that our team can deliver and overcome adversity." Adds Coach Reddish.
