Rising star and former New Zealand U17 player, Dante Matakatea has signed with the Franklin Bulls for SalsNBL 2024. The Auckland based player has relocated to Franklin with family to take the next step in his journey towards next level basketball and has signed as an amateur for the season. 

Matakatea spent some time with the Tuatara in 2023 as a development player and was invited to the Steven Adams invitational. 

A top kiwi prospect, Dante has hopes to play in college but for now is committed to earning his spot in the Bulls squad and will also suit up for the Franklin U20s this year.
